Hi, I’m not sure what you mean? It’s just traditional coffee – it can be brewed, cold brew, americano, etc. I used brewed drip coffee here but anything coffee works fine but I wouldn’t just do straight espresso.

Hi Esther, I haven’t tested it but I believe you’d need about 1/3 of the recipe to make a four inch cake. However since there’s only 2 eggs it’s kind of hard to do that so you could either make half the recipe and don’t use the whole thing in the cake or just buy medium eggs and do 1/3 of the recipe using 1 medium egg. Hope that helps!
